Revised from the Special Education Management System by VORT and the Santa Cruz County Office of Education.
BCP is a non-discriminatory, comprehensive curriculum-based assessment used by special education professionals to assess, set objectives, track progress and prepare instruction.
This practical format assists with IEP planning and parent communication. The broad continuum of skills and behaviours is grouped into 56 Strands (goal areas). Each
Strand contains up to 50 behaviours that extend to "socially-acceptable" adult skills and behaviours.
Over 2,300 skills and thousands of instructional activities are ideally suited to children and adults who are functioning between the developmental ages of 1 to 14 years - in the integrated classroom, the resource room and the self-contained programme.
