Previously known as the Cross-Cultural Smell Identification Test. A Rapid and Effective 5-Minute Screening Test. 12 item version of the SIT useful for detecting smell loss quickly. Valuable in population surveys and general workplace studies. Odors are well-known in most cultures. The test employs: banana, chocolate, cinnamon, gasoline, lemon, onion, paint thinner, pineapple, rose, soap, smoke and turpentine. Percentile norms based upon nearly 4,000 subjects are available in the B-SIT Administration Manual.
