Access Mathematics Tests is a progress test that helps you compare learners ages 10–16 against their cohort at a school and national level, understand their mathematical skills and areas where they can improve, and provide targeted interventions throughout their education.
Why choose Access Mathematics Tests?
Access Mathematics Tests has been standardised across 2023 and 2024 against more than 15,000 test submissions from a representative sample:
- Identify students below or above the representative sample's average and how they compare to learners the same age as them.
- Determine what strand gaps learners need support on at an individual and group level and target your teaching.
Track Progress
Parallel tests enable you to track how learners have progressed during the year and how impactful your interventions have been. You can test again at any point during your school year as you start preparing them for their future examinations:
- Reports in Boost Insights visualise your test results to help you determine what each learner needs and see their progress over time.
- For students who you think would benefit from Shine Interventions, you can track their progression throughout their intervention period.
The standardisation and enhanced reporting help you plan your lessons and allocate resources
- Strand analysis will show what areas your class is strong in and where they need to improve. For example, if your class excels at fractions but needs to improve their understanding of ratios, you will know to spend more time and resources on this area.
Identify which learners need individualised support. The benchmarking and standardised scores will help you find learners performing below expected levels to enable you to deliver impactful, individualised support.
The assessment can also help to accurately identify SEN learners or students of determination who may need additional SEN support. Co-ordinate with your SEN team and Teaching Assistants to deliver individualised learning experiences
- Share reports with your support teams, including your SENCo, to deliver the interventions a learner needs.
- Understand a specific learner's areas of improvement and access the tools to aid their progress.
Whatever you teach, wherever you teach, even if you teach multiple curricula, you can use Access Mathematics Tests
- Skills-based assessment that assesses a learner's comprehension of core Mathematical skills.
- Informed by leading curricula and data from schools in the UK and international schools in Spain and The Netherlands.
