JSAT - Jail Screening Assessment Tool

The JSAT is a set of Structured Professional Judgment guidelines designed for rapid identification of mental health needs and critical risks—including suicide, self-harm, violence and victimisation—among new admissions to jails and pre-trial facilities. The JSAT is administered on the basis of a semi-structured interview and a review of available collateral information. The manual contains all the information needed to administer, code and interpret the tool, including a sample worksheet.
