The AVRT (Watt et al., 2023) is a decision support aid that is intended to help prevent violence by sorting, prioritising and responding to cases when information is received or collected that raises concerns about violence risk. The AVRT has been under development for more than 20 years and was based on a comprehensive literature review as well as research, training on and implementation of the AVRT in diverse settings around the world.
